Fondant decorations inspired by a very popular (and child favourite of mine) book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
I created the details using thin layers of white fondant for the food pieces and a 3D white fondant model for the cake topper.
**being a crazy week of creations** I called upon the wonderful and talented, who has a great eye for detail, Farrah to paint to bring to life.
In the book the illustrations are BEAUTIFUL and I really wanted to respect that.
Farrah worked her amazing sugar magic using liquid colour and added life to a white canvas. {THANK YOU MY TALENTED CAKE ANGEL, YOU ROCK MY CAKE WORLD} She has done an amazing job [even better then I imagine in my head on the job I wanted done] and really made one special cake to remember for Luca and family.
